How to Flag

Algorithmically folded flags and melted plastic. I start with my flag generator program, controlling the folding, colors, and pattern (stripes or checkers); I then select flags to print on paper. I melt polyethylene plastic with oil pastels, marker, and acrylic and collage in the flag-printed paper. Like encaustic wax painting, I build up many layers of #2 LDPE from discarded bags to give the paintings depth.
